The inspiration behind the original painting is that it came in a dream. While Zuzy was evacuated twice during the traumatic wild fires rampaging in BC in 2021, she had to stay with her brother in-laws parents. They had a "Spirit Room" filled with beautiful indigenous artwork where they slept while staying there, and the first night came with intense dreams of painting a wolf among the beautiful but dangerous glow of fire.

It has stuck with Zuzy for over a year and she was able to create this piece, and thus named it The Calling.

- Part of the proceeds from the sales of these prints goes towards Red Cross who continue to help and support those effected by wildfire and other crises.
